A year of growth, innovation and visions of the future.

That’s a wrap!

2018 has been a year to remember for GoWP. This year we sold our hosting service and we focused our talents on what we do best: WordPress maintenance and support.

Looking back, we’ve accomplished a lot of major goals this year — and we’ve set a lot of new ones in the process!

And we never would have reached such great heights if it weren’t for the incredible agencies and web professionals we are lucky to call customers. Growth for our customers means growth for us, and that’s what keeps the GoWP team constantly striving to provide a more innovative and unbeatable service. It’s pretty clear to us that our customers have had some record-breaking years in business as well!

We’ve put together a quick peek into the accomplishments of GoWP this year, take a look and judge for yourself!

24/7 service

We took our time on this one.

We had to make sure we could find the right happiness engineers to cover the hours and not sacrifice the level of service provided. We accomplished this one just in the nick of time and couldn’t be happier!

Team growth

We are proud to say that the GoWP is growing!

We’ve been able to expand our support service to 24/7 by discovering exceptional WordPress talent all over the world. We’ve also added a marketing coordinator, lead designer and sales advisor to the team!

New website design

We did a complete redesign of our website!
It became obvious that our old site wasn’t doing a great job telling visitors what we do and really wasn’t a great representation of who GoWP is. We think we fixed that, what do you think?

Better support dashboard

Our custom support dashboard is another feature you won’t see from our competitors!
Apart from full visibility of maintenance tasks, admins can now pick and choose which plugins to update and which pages to run in the Visual Validator.

And we’re just getting started!

Visual Validator

Innovative and effective, we love our Visual Validator and so do our customers! It takes screenshots before and after an update is applied so if there’s a visual change, we know about and can fix it right away!
Read more about it here.

One-off tasks and bundles

This year we listened to our customers and you guys had some great feedback!

One of the resounding topics was wanting support tasks in bulk that can be used across any website. Well, ask and you shall receive! Check out our one-off tasks page for more info! (Of course we’re still offering our Unlimited WordPress Support plan as well.)

Local Community

We’ve always made it our business to be involved with the local WordPress community here in Atlanta and 2018
was no different!

There are now 13 local WordPress Meetups, and GoWP sponsors several of these. Looking forward to seeing more growth and activity here in 2019!

WordCamp Asheville

GoWP was a proud sponsor of WordCamp Asheville this year — what a great time we had!

We met so many wonderful people in our neighboring WordPress community and beyond. We also gave away a Chromebook!
See you there in 2019?

WordCamp US

Our team traveled to Nashville this year to help sponsor WordCamp US, and we
loved every minute of it! The excitement in the air was palpable. All the incredible WordPress users that come from far
and wide to mingle and network make this event one to remember.

See you in St. Louis in 2019!

This was our first involvement with UGURUS. We must admit, it was a great first impression!

We were happy to help sponsor the USUMMIT, a meeting of web professionals who came together in Denver to learn new strategies to help grow their digital agencies.

WordCamp Atlanta

Call us biased, we ❤️ WordCamp Atlanta!

GoWP founder Brad Morrison is one of the lead organizers for this event and he really gives it his all! The teamwork and camaraderie of our local WordPress community is what makes this event so special. Join us May 3-5, 2019 and see for yourself!

This year we sponsored our first webinar along with the great team at Liquid Web.
Not only was the webinar a total success, but we learned so much along the way!
We’re already planning to expand this series and have some new projects in the works, stay tuned!

You can watch the webinar here.

As you can see, we had a busy and exciting 2018. But, as they say, a rolling stone gathers no moss, so we are already well into accomplishing our goals in 2019! Take a look at what we have in store:

  • Turning up the innovation
Keep an eye on our Support dashboard, because we’ve got big things in store. Our custom-built Support dashboard gives you more control and visibility over the maintenance of your site. In 2019 our customers will be getting even more control and a more enjoyable user experience.
  •  Helping our customers succeed with GoWP
We’re already diving deep into our onboarding process and identifying ways we can make sure our customers are as successful as they can be with GoWP. Our service offers a lot of potential for agencies and web professionals and we want to do our part to make sure our customers are getting everything they can out of it.
  • Growth through partnerships
There are already some big partnerships coming down the pike, and you’ll be hearing about them soon! We’re really looking forward to building meaningful relationships with companies in the WordPress community and beyond who have some great products and content that provide real value to agencies and web professionals.
  • Giving back to the WordPress community
In 2019 we want to amp up our contributions to WordPress. Don’t get us wrong, we’ve always made a point to give back to this incredible platform by helping with Meetups, sponsoring and organizing WordCamps, and contributing to WordPress core. We’re just saying we plan on doing even more of this in 2019, and keeping you up to date about what we’re doing.
  • Exploring new ways to provide support for other businesses in the WordPress ecosystem
If there’s one thing that really made an impression on us at WordCamp US, it was that it’s not just agencies and web professionals that are looking for WordPress support and maintenance services! We’ve reached out to some of these different types of businesses to explore how we can be more flexible and provide services that are little bit outside our normal workflow.
  •  Going further with our Champions affiliate program
The GoWP Champions are a pillar of our success and in 2019 we’re doubling down. We’re going to make it even easier to share GoWP news and content and earn rewards for referring new customers!

Thanks to all of you for an unforgettable year!

We've got our sights set on 2019 now...
